whats the best, accurate, workmanship...overall?

The Czech-made Mausers are usually considered some of the best. The Vz.24 is the best but usually they have so much use and a lot of rust and pitting.

A pre-WWII German "Standard Modell" can be really nice. Most of the FN ones I've seen have been well used.
It might be best to go for good condition instead of model. I like the Vz.24 receivers but only if they aren't pitted, including under the wood.

I have a K98 and a M24/47 both are real nice and shot straight.I am partial to the K98 though,td

I have several Mauser's. I prefer the K98 (any manufacture) over all the other models. I just like the feel and how they handle. However the most accurate one I own is a Yugo 24/47. It out shoots every other Mauser I own. I bought it on a whim because it was cheap and I didn't have that model. It maybe a fluke I don't know but, it is without a doubt the most accurate Mauser I have owned.
