What RPK rifles are currently in production? I am considering purchasing an RPK and I'm curious as to what rifles are out there, and what quality they are.

As far as I know the Yugo & Romanian are still plentiful. I had a m72 for a while & sold it. It was nicely done & from what I`ve heard Century sub`d out their Yugo builds to someone who obviously cared more about quality. Picked up a NHM91 recently, though not an actual rpk has a better stock height(Yugo was too high), is a bit lighter & the bipod is easily removed, also very accurate. I know a lot of members have the Romy & like them, never owned one myself. If your wanting to mount a scope then you might want to consider the Romanian as they`re the only one that comes w/ a rail. You can get a screw on rail kit from Tantal for the Yugo that looks to be well made if you don`t mind drilling holes. Both should be available at one or more of the usual dealers(Aim, Classic, Centerfire etc.) Prices have dropped as well. - ETA: Just checked listed vendors & didn`t see either listed, JG had the Yugos a few weeks ago. May have to buy off G.B. or locally, or wait a while longer, they`ll pop back up.

all I know is I want one real bad, there is one at a local gunshop for 600 and it is tingling my gun senses if you know what I mean. :)
