View Thread: Info on this SKS Drum

euroking99
I just took a look at my chinese sks drum to test fit on my yugo. it fits very snug and dry functions, but I dont know muchabout it since no one has any info on them. it has the triangle with a 36 in it and thats it. I was wondering if this was a military surplus drum or if it was a chinese made import drum for commercial sales. If anyone has more info, please chime in.

+1 - Chinese. Pretty neat though.

Yeah, this one has only been fired once, and it only shot 80rds cuz that was all that was left. Since then, its been sitting in the closet waiting for its next outing. I maybe thinking about selling it or maybe even trading it, time will tell

i have never seen this

Looks like a chicom AK drum with a USA Mag SKS magazine retrofitted to it.

Keep it clean and sell it.

Yeah, but mine is a 100rd drum, not a 75rd. it doesnt even have any insert marks and i still have the original instructions that came with it from back in 1990

Its probably not worth $500 (notice there were no bids on that one) but I bet someone would give you a nice knot for it.

I have seen the 75rd SKS drum sell for $300 often. a 100rd drum would probably go for $400 realistically. i think a lot of the reason stuff is not getting sold is the economy sucks and everybody wants stuff but just can't afford it right now. i want a case of 7.62x39, but i just lost my job and can't even swing that. i saw post it at $400 if you want to get rid of it, otherwise keep it because it will be worth more when more stuff starts getting banned.

$300ish sounds about right. I snagged a couple years back...just cause.

micah_johnson_92
Are you sure that is a 100rd drum in your pictures euroking99?

euroking99
Actually, the one in the picture is a 75rd drum. My cousin kept the 100rd and 2 75 rd drums that were purchased in kommiefornia several years ago. im still trying to convince him to sell one of the 75 rd drums, but no luck.
