Any of you guys know what the availability is on these old rifles? I read an article in Shotgun news on them and would like to find one. The article said they could be purchased for around $70.00. I've searched the Web and could only find them on GunBroker for far more than $70.00.

they used to be available for cheap but not any more.
you will have an impossible time finding ammo for them.

I bought one a year ago for $89, but by the time you get a bayonet, ammo and shipped it was far more. The ammo is available by Hornady through SG for about $1/round (nice reloadable brass). They are interesting rifles, the straight-pull bolt is cool, and they kick like a pissed off jack-ass.

Thanks fellas. The reason I'm interested is that the bore diameter on the Mannlicher is close enough to my Mosin's that I can cast bullets for it. I was talking to a friend today who new a guy that had one for $100.00 but it is the long version, I'm looking for the short carbine. Anyway thanks guy's, I'm sure I'll run across one at the big show in Louisville in a couple of months. That gives me plenty of time to convince my girlfriend to have Santa bring me one!:)
