View Thread: Polytech AKS762 Double folder question
Darkest2000
How rare are the Polytech AKS762 that are equipped with BOTH the underfolding stock AND spike bayonet?
Most I've seen have either one or the other, but not both.
What would be the going rate for one?
And is the double folder configuration actually used by any military (China, or etc) or is this perhaps a special thing specifically done for the U.S. civilian market?

A Polytech double underfolder is unusual but not rare. Not sure on value but I'd guess a $1K rifle. They are nice. Sile/Poly double under. No knowledge of military use.

Yes that's exactly the config I'm talking about. I searched all over the web and couldn't find a single pic.
I think I've seen pics exactly twice in the past. One was actually select fire (owner located in Europe). And he even think he's the only one that has it in that configuration.

You should be able to find other examples of these Chinese AK's. I've had mine for a number of years but they are not that scarce. Nice rifles but hardly worth the $$ they get these days or hoopla., IMHO.

I'll Take It. ;)

If you find one for 1K buy it fast. Last time I saw one it was 2K. There is one on GB for 3K, to much. Most Polytechs came with the checkered wood, Norinco's came with smooth wood. Yep even some Norinco's came double folders. There is also a triple fold.

The checkered grips are the later models. The small smooth grip on the Poly is the early edition. I do not keep up with current prices on the Chinese stuff. Rather spend $$ and build an AK variant I do not have etc.
Looks like AK74 muzzle attachment above and Polish slings. Nice rifles.

You are correct there AK Blue, as most are checkered for more made it in later rather than early selection. Some Norinco's came with underfolding bayonets as well, and yep 74 brake polish sling found the correct sling added and also replaced with correct button instead of 74 brake. Prices are out of control, it's a amazing what people are asking for any Ak these days...........asking not always getting.
