Best ammo for Yugoslavian M76

I am thinking of getting one of these, but want to know if it shoots the 196 gr. yugo brass or the 150 gr. romanian stuff better.

anyone know?

It's meant to use a 198 grain bullet loaded slightly milder than commercial 196 grain bullet loads.

The Ohio Rapid Fire M76 receivers have a lot of issues. The M76 firing pin pierces a lot of primers also.

Most all of them are ORF models. Somebody else was going to make receivers but I've never seen them. The Mitchell Arms imports are Yugoslavian-made but are a bit rare. A few CIA guys brought back some M76's from the wars in Yugoslavia. They go for super high prices and don't have import markings and look like new as they were mostly picked out of new in box ones.

the last century I saw at a gunshow had caspian on the tag. I think century wased their hands of orf a while ago.

If you can get a Caspian receiver, that might be a decent deal. Far better than an ORF.

I ask all this because JGSales dropped the price of the M76 by about 600 dollars!

But, i am reading much more negative about these rifles then positive.

that still leaves taxes for me...allthough it's a great price...RSR is selling for 1,100$.. and J&G wants $12....SWEET.
