anyone know if its silver tip before I call and screem I ordered silver I dont want to open it .

I think its just lauqer coat should i be pissed I paid for silver tip

It is "LPS" which is light ball steel core The early LPS is marked with a silver tip. The exact same ammo in newer lots might not have the silver tip but it is the same LSP ammo. I didn't look at your photo carefully but I think it might be Hungarian light ball. Silver tip was the marking for LPS but not all LPS has a silver tip if it is newer production.

if there's no silver paint stripe on the tin...I don't think it's silver tip.

I just cracked open a tin a silver tip, here is pic of the top and yes it has a silver strip painted on it. Mine is Ruskie ammo though and I think yours is Hungarian and it looks like the steel core. Now these are mild steel cores and that means they won't penetrate like a true AP round.

The silver stripe and silver tip are old lots of the exact same ammo. Without the silver it just means it's newer ammo. The "LPS" or "LPSZ" is steel core light ball.
