Sighting in my PSL scope I'm all the way over to the left and to the bottom and still need more to the left and bottom. This is a Romanian Factor rifle and non matching scope........Do I need to get another scope and see if it will sight in better??

follow the instructions in the pic.this will let you move the retical over to give you the adjustment you need to zero your rifle.

This might help:

Not to take away from Bigmerinas post, but I think manual says not to move center screw.

I'm completely out of adjustments nothing more to move and need to go over to the left and down some more, has you view you see center indicator all the way over to the left and down to the bottom and it's close but not on target.

When you say no more adjustment do you mean you have lossened the silver screws. Then you can turn top half of turret if not I would refer you to the manual. Again it is my understanding that the retical in this scope will not stay centered. If all else fails Bigmeginas post might be the way to go ( but manual says no)

There have been many posts on this problem. Some PSL rifles have their scope rail mounted crooked on the receiver. So it makes your scope "point" in a direction not perfectly aligned with your bore. This makes adjustment difficult because you run out of adjustment in the turrets trying to get the reticle to Point of Impact.

The solution? Shim the scope mount base or buy a different scope that has more adjustment in it. Or have a gunsmith remove and reinstall the rail correctly.

I may have to. Just worried I might mess it up loosing the alignment screws.

Like the rifle scopes just off to far.

I had one similar to yours. I was able to shim it using thin aluminum cut from a pop can . . . which works surprisingly well.

Search this forum for "shim" to get some more ideas.

Use a beer can to shim it out but the rule is only 1 shim per can so now you have something to do tonight sorry just couldnt pass it up :D :D

Just out of curiosity how does your mount fit the rail? You can tighten the clamp on the scope base, that may help you get better alignment. If not shims may help, as stated.

Tight fit as it should, I'll have to shim it I can see already.

Shimming might be the best for you but are you sure you've used up all the adjustment? When you've run out of clicks on the scope turrets that does not mean you've run out of adjustment. Far from it. As in big bigmegina's pic, there are two small screws and a centre screw (you don't need to touch the centre screw). The two screws on the outside should be loosened 1.5 turns which frees the top of the turret from the clicker (which is the part with the numbers and divisions). The top part of the turret can now be turned to adjust. When you're happy screw it down again making sure you've swivelled the clicker around a bit so you aren't near its stop.

If you are going to shim then make sure you take the reticule to the center of the scope, then shim away.
