How'd I do Coach?

Yesterday I was at Gander Mountain (when I bought a used Kimber). I saw a nice rifle, Remington 700, very nice factory engraving including a ram's head on the magazine floorplate and very nice wood. At $80 a box of 20 however .300 Ultra Magnum is a bit pricey - but at $576 for the gun not a bad deal. After almost 45 minutes of standing around while a brand new clerk was fumbling the gun purchase of the guy in front of me, I left, frustrated by the incompetence.

So I went to my usual gun whore and walked in just as they were buying a semi-auto rifle from someone....

I bought this gun; it came with one 5 round and one 30 round magazine; cloth sling, tool kit in the buttstock, and the owner's manual. There were also 3x20 round boxes of Russian steelcase 7.62x39mm hollowpoint. As an aside the boxes of ammo were $3.50 each; there is a sticker on the back of the owner's manual, dated 23 December 1997. The gun has been fired as evidenced by it needs cleaning - the bore however, is very nice....

Here is my Maadi RML, imported by Pars International of Kentucky, one of three post ban Maadi Importers. Um I got it for 1997 prices too... $225 out the door!

You did great, an RML was my last AK Buy, I replaced the stock with a regular AKM buttstock, added a black Egyptian PG, and threaded the muzzle 1/2x28
and added a slant comp for the AKM look, very nice rifle you got there, super buy!

Gander here wont stock, sell or transfer AK's here in Ohio. Nice pick up.
