View Thread: One hook trigger or two

I have a thumbhole stock maadi and it has a one hook trigger. Is it okay to put a two hook trigger on it. Does it matter?

If the receiver is cut for a single hook you will need to modify the right hook on the trigger to get it to fit. The left side hook fits in a slot in the trigger opening when it is pulled, the right one will have to be ground down a bit on the bottom to clear if it doesn't have a slot in the receiver. Other than that, no issues using a 2 hook. If you carefully fit the second hook it will eliminate overtravel.
If you have the Maadi with the Chinese receiver it should already be cut for a 2 hook and it will drop right in.

You can also notch out the receiver for the second hook (use the original slot for a guide).
Might be easier than risking a trigger.

The Maadi receiver is made for a single hook trigger. Use a single hook trigger.

Yeah, I agree with alleseno-what. Use the single hook. It makes no difference. How many hooks does a Mauser K98 have. One.
