View Thread: 7.62x39 Norinco Ammo - Any Value Beyond Shooting?

Joshua M. Smith
Hello,

A friend needed some money so I bought around 380 rounds of Norinco yellow-boxed mild steel core 7.62x39mm from him. They are in the original yellow boxes.

I am wondering if these have any collector value since they are no longer imported, or if I can go ahead and shoot 'em up.

I'll post pics when I get home from work; I'm running behind.

Thanks,

Josh <><

Norinco steel core ammo has value, they are considered armor peircing handgun ammo under Fed law, can't be imported any more and illegal for an FFL to sell. Private sales are OK, check the various auction sites for current going rate.

After you get a ballpark value you should of coarse post it here.

Looks like ballpark is $10 to $15 per 20.

There's a guy who inquired about buying it on another forum. I quoted him a price including shipping and he has yet to respond.

I might sell a bit of it off if he decides not to take it, and if there's sufficient interest here. Whatever price I decide on, I will put shipping in the price, and it will look a bit high for that reason.

As I said, it has no value to me beyond shooting value, and if someone else would rather have it, more power to them. I'll take the sale money and go buy some Wolf Military Classic HP - the stuff I personally prefer - or maybe some Corbon.

Thanks,
