If you search any Mosin-Nagant or Dragunov/PSL forum, you'll not hear a bad word said about it.
It's top drawer stuff.

I heard its really good too.

just order 2 cans of it.... i shall soon see. Considering that S&B and Wolf are the one 2 that make new production Light Ball, it makes sense to load up on the x54r light ball while it's still around. Once it's gone, it's gone.

SG is a great company!
UPS called me on my cell saying that they were leaving a package (880 rounds) at my door. When I arrived home from work there was no package to be seen.
I called UPS and they informed me that I'd have to contact the shipping party and they'd have to file for an investigation. I called SG and upon explaining the situation they insisted upon and did send out another 880 round order no questions asked.
Weeks later the order did arrive and I called to inform SG that the missing order did arrive and paid for it. They are an honest and good company in my eyes. Their customer service dept is amazing and because of that they will continue to receive my business.

Sportsmans Guide did also send me a bunch of coupons (that don't expire) and other stuff as well. If only I can afford more loot!

I would search for the Czech silver tip prior to buying the HUngy Silver tip...
apparently one of my friends PSL's met this ammo and was super shooting...
I've shot alot of the HUngarian Silver Tip...it's top notch.

the Czech silver tip is very hard to find. some shyster on gunbroker is selling some for like .50/shot. I have one box of the Czech silver tip that i am holding on to. A year ago, it was everywhere!

I agree about the Czech silvertip being very good and also very hard to find.I have one case left, and I only paid $59 dollars for it back in '06.I wish I woulda bought a few more when they were so cheap and availible, but hindsight is 20/20.

Looks like later production(`80`s) Hungarian. The silver tip from the `70`s was non-lacquer coated.

i've done A LOT of business with SG from July 08 to July 09.... it seems once the ammo craze hit, they went from being the cheapest, now to the most expensive and misleading.
let's see what customer service has to say.
