Sooooooo........my brother in-law showed me the coolest thing ever, his lower parts kit was re-worked (stock LPK) so that when you push the safety past the "SEMI" position, it gives you one shot at like a .5lb trigger pull (think mouse click). He had it done a few years back at a gunsmith in Orange County, Ca. Any one hear about this before or know how its done? Its like having both a match, and a combat trigger in one gun...

That is called a "set" trigger, Williams and a few others do the work. Never seen one apart, so no clue of the actual mechanics.

The one from Williams sounds like it. I should have cracked my BIL's open to see what they did. It certainly is a friggin awsome mod. I wish I knew how it was done, $200 is a little steep for my blood. It would be nice if they sold it as a drop in LPK....

Probably the hand fitting involved and possible mods to the safety stops makes it too difficult for the average DIYer and they don't want the liability? They also say they modify the lower, so there may not be enough room in a standard AR to fit the extra parts?
