I have found that the Birchwood-Casey Barricade/Sheath are excellent rust preventatives. I have used Barricade and Sheath on all gun metal surfaces, AK mags, bayonets and knives, etc.
This may be a stupid question, but I was wondering if you could use them on the inside of a gun barrel??? If yes, would that be only for long term storage or is it OK to use it short term? By that I mean, can you fire the rifle or handgun without having to clean the Barricade/Sheath out of the barrel.
I have been reluctant to use the stuff on the inside of the barrels of my guns. So, I just clean and dry the barrels thoroughly and save the Barricade for the outside metal surfaces.
