Recently I came across a Kobra marked EAA Corp Cocoa Fl. IZH-AXION made in Russia. It looks just like this one----

It had a bad weaver quick disconnect bracket from over tightening that was easy to fix by TIG welding the cracked area.
Also it had the wrong battery size in it,too small to make contact with the outer + ring, I was unable to locate the correct size battery. Yet I made do with the more common 3V 2032 by shimming it with foil paper.
Trouble with the smaller 2032 battery was that the projected reticle will default to the chevron with the dot on top with maximum brightness every time I cocked the rifle and pulled the trigger (most annoying).
Since I installed the foil paper on top (+) of the battery there are no more problems with the Kobra reticle switching out of the set setting and defaulting to the chevron dot on top.
Hope this helps some one out there.
Oh yea the foil paper acts as a shim folded over about 4 times to the size of the 2032 battery, yet extending past it so to make contact with the + outer ring in the battery compartment. So when the screw on cover is tightened the battery is held in place by virtue of the foil paper crushing around it.
