View Thread: B-West Inquiry

A B-West was offered to me at a good price. It is a spiker and overall is in G/VG condition. It has been shot a decent amount by the wear on the hammer. The bluing overall is quite good and it does not look like an abused rifle.

The receiver is tight to the rivets and the FCG holes seem normal. The only odd thing is that the ejector is welded up (& blued). That looks like it was done a long time ago however. I am assured it works and I believe that based on the wear.

Am I correct in thinking that this is a B-West that is "right"?

The good one's have a chinese manufactured receiver, IIRC. I am not sure if any of the B-West manufactured rec's were heat treated, but most were not, of that I am pretty certain.

The early rifles they sold were built in China on Chinese rec's and these are good to go.

The fact that the ejector is welded would lead me to believe it was not a chicom receiver.

Go to the bottom of the page and read.

I'd avoid it unless you are looking to rebuild it as a kit.
