Who to buy from?

I have a couple of AK's that were all purchased Pre-Obama. I have a friend that I tried to warn, but waited too long. Now he is looking to buy one after a half dozen "I told ya so's from me. He is in the 500.00 to 800.00 range. I don't want to send him to gunbroker, or Century. Any options out there for that price range? I checked gunplumbers site, but he has mostly 74's.
