View Thread: Recoil reducing dampener stock for AK?

Darth AkSarBen
Has anyone found a manufacture in the U.S. that makes a similar butt stock that dampens the recoil like this one?? LINK: http://www.israeli-weapons.com/store/butt_stocks/p9.htm

I have a Saiga in .308 and having just a bit of a recoil dampener would be kind of nice.

Well, there is the Romanian recoil reducing, so called "toilet plunger" stock.

YES YES Lets all do the bump. :icon05: :icon05: I think it would promote da BUMP BABY!!!!!! :small_gri

Again the finger would have to remain slightly stationary - stactic - as the rifle recoils to reset the disconnector. The hand/fingers would naturaly follow the gun - but I think it would make BUMPY BURSTS easier.{I am in favor of BUMP BURSTS - not mag dumps}{We are not in Tiajunia on a Sunday morning} :cool_smal

Allthough the spring inside the "recoil" tube looks heathy. IT should reduced recoil. I would stack shorter springs inside that one to give more resistance as the sassembly recoils backward. The more it moves back the "stronger"/more the spring resistance. This stock is very simple and I like that. Should hold up in dusty enviroments. Crudd grooves and Crudd spaces could be engineered in thare but with all that ABS slippery plastic.

{GUESS ONLY}

10,000 to 15,000 rounds before cracks and or wear. 7.62x39mm

8,000 to 12,000 rounds before cracks and or wear..308

(AGAIN WILDE ASS GUESS)

I finished working on my own idea I had this last weekend. Pictures are posted at this thread: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=44599&st=0&gopid=409849&#entry409849

I have tried it out and it does a GREAT job in reducing recoil. That spring really puts the damper on the recoil of that .308 round.

Targets show that the new Tapco G2 trigger group, that I polished before putting in, and, in combination with the stock, seems to work very well. I'm trying to 'break' in the barrel as well as can be done, shooting a few, then thorough cleaning, then shooting just a few more.

Vern, you might want to blurr your full name off your target pics. your call.

Would kind of be moot to do that. If you go to my web site and view the "about me" page, it's not only there, but email addresses to write to as well.

I would think that would not be too private by now. Just Google " Darth AkSarBen profile " sometime.
