View Thread: Removing bayonet and gernade launcher sight from SKS Yugo, anyone done this?

Gyva
Bought a yugo here for $250 but came with the bayo and gernade launcher stuff. I would like to remove this but the barrel and front sight are milled from the same piece of metal and all this stuff is connected to it. I think my only option here is to use a grinder and carfully cut away the pieces I dont want. Now this is why I am posting here first as I dont know if this can heat up the barrel or sight metal and distort it, I wouldnt think so as lots of ammo flying out of this thing heats it up pretty good too. But if someone else has done it. I'd love to hear how they did it, and the outcome..... And yes I know lots of you are going to say just go buy a gun without this stuff and that does sound eaiser but all my spare money goes into buying ammo and all the other end of the world stuff but I do have a grinder lol... thanks guys...

Better make sure the state you are in will allow that first.

Some states won't allow you to alter that rifle from its original import configuration.

As for removing those parts it has been done and there are sites with procedures how to do it.

Search them up on google.

I dont mess with the 59/66's so I have never had one.

Just the M59's, which are without that crap.

funny isnt it what the corrupt goverment can tell you what to do with your own private property... wake up people, and thanks for the response.

Yes it is but I'm not laughing. Utter bullshit and I grow very weary of this system.

I found this site for you. It should cover it all.
