View Thread: Inexpensive American made ammo?

Hey everyone,

I'm going nuts. I recently found an indoor rifle range just north of Chicago (can you believe that) that allows hi-cap AK-47's in their range. The only catch is that you must only shoot american made soft point or hollow point ammo. I wouldn't have any problem with that except the price. All american made 7.62x39 ammo I have found is at least $23+ per box. Winchester, Federal, Corbon, Remington, etc... I'm really hoping their is something out there that I can buy online for around $12 or less like the russian stuff. Anyone know of anything? What about US people or companies that sell reloads? Any links to sites? Again, they must be sp or hp. Thanks for any help.

LOL, thats how they stop you from shooting your AK indoors. No such thing as cheap american made 762x39, you might find deals from time to time but nothing consistent.

Battlewagon
Inexpensive US made ammo=RELOAD. I reload for my .300WSM with the same bullet the factory boxes up at $45 a box. Costs me $12 per box. YMMV.

Buy 4 or 5 boxes of US made. Save the boxes and fill them with surplus. Open the top of the boxes to show them they are hollowpoints and see if they really check. Or like Battlewagon...reload
