View Thread: Yugo M76 optics problem

southern boy
picked up a Yugo 76 from a guy, said the scope wont hold zero.

thought it might have been the mount but its the scope itself, the vertical adjustment wont stay in place and it doesn't click like the horizontal adjustment.

he said he took the cap off and set it back to 100, i'm thinking he lost part.

theres a small bearing in here but i cant see any way for it to detent on the cap.

any clue on what could be missing (small spring? , second bearing?), how to fix it and where to get the part?

The missing part is an incredibly small index bearing. It fits between the readable part of the turret and the inner shaft of the turret. You have to take off the 2 screws that hold the dial together, to see where it goes. Its possible the bearing is just out of its socket. If you need one, you could e-mail Kalinka Optics, or try to salvage the bearing from an old ball point pen.

Although I'm not in the situation as this guy is, I know what you're talking about, and you sir are a genius!

Contact PA Distributing they have all the parts for these scopes....
bearing springs, new dial caps right from the factory...they also have different caliber cams.

I don't know if any of you guys are interested but I picked up a paper copy of a Manual off of E-Bay. It's titled OPTICAL SIGHT ON-M76 for SR 7,62 mm -Instruction manual. I could scan it in and some smart guy could put it in the historical files for members.

Good advice to get with ZRAK USA or PA Distruibuting for the ON M76 scope. The Operations Manual scan for the M76 scope would be sweet.
