Well, got my new POSP today from Kalinka. Very impressed with that company yet again. The scope is about 2 inches longer than the PSO scope that comes on the PSL. And is a lot bigger overall. Worth what i paid for it, pics to come soon!

The only downside was the bulb pack i ordered. the only one that worked was the white one, the yellow and green wouldnt even screw in, and the red one was very very dim. sent them a email we shall see what happens.

I had some problem getting my blue and yellow bulbs to screw in at first. It seemed that there was some sort of "shellac" plugging the threads - so look for this using a 10x magnifier so you don't accidentally scross-thread them. I chased the crud from the threads using a needle and swabbed them with an alcohol-soaked Q-tip and they worked fine after that. Mine also did not come with the O-rings - which wasn't really a problem as I have one of those big O-ring asortments that Harbor Frieght sells for ~$6 or $7.

Also my red bulb was more dim than the one that came in the scope and they exchanged it for me. The replacement was actually slighly brighter than the one in my scope. In retrospect, I maybe should have kept the dimmer red bulb since the scope has no means to adjust brightness and there are times if it's very dark that the red is too bright to use.. I say try it in total darkness before you decide to change it as another option can sometime be beneficial.

I didn't get a white bulb - which would have been very nice... I guess they didn't have them back when I ordered as it was not listed as part of the selection (only red, green, yello, and blue). I like the Yellow much more than I had anticipated.

My take is that Kalinka is getting their stock from eastern Europe and simply cant test every item - so I don't hold them to blame. Besides, they really were very responsitive to getting my dim buld swapped out - even though it was such a small item. They placed trust in me to return the dim bulb and even shipped my replacement ahead of receiving my return. I have to say that level of trust placed in my by a vendor in this day and age truely impressed me.

I will say, i like the white bulb the best. out of the 2 that work. and my "dim" red bulb is now a "dead" red bulb. well see what Kalinka does, so far they have been 100% with me every time. if all else fails ill send back the bulb pack and get a few white ones.

there was supposed to be a blue one, but i got green, according to the packing list.

pics coming on the AM, taking it to the range as well.

Thats interesting, never seen a POSP scope with that label/logo. Must be the new batch?

given that this scope is longer - has it changed eye relief at all?

riley107
not really, as the eyepiece is at the same spot almost.
