Let's say you have a Vektor H5 Pump-Action South African Galil.

Is it at all legal to convert this to semi auto since there's three holes in the receiver?

Is it legal to own the damned thing, because of the three holes in the receiver, even though they were imported legally?

What's the official word on converting Galils like this? Is there some stipulation that makes 3 holes in the receiver okay if it's not an AK, or if it's a pump gun?

Anyone have any idea, or is this just that sordid "gray area"?

Was wondering the same thing myself. There were quite a few PAR (Romy Pumps) imported and they have 3 holes.
Personally I wouldn't have one in anything but original configuration.

I had one some years ago. The selector holes aren't there, the safety is different and the top cover slot is missing. On Gunbroker somebody was selling a stripped receiver from one. I might have some pics somewhere.
