View Thread: Wood furniture Saiga 12?

I'm looking for ideas for my conversion, and this might be an option. Any pictures of converted S-12's using wood furniture?

I received an e-mail from this guy a little while ago, looks like he`s got another batch coming, though not sure if he`s done the furniture for both the stock Saiga12 & the converted Saiga(shows stock in the e-mail) Nice looking work. - http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=9471&hl=battlerifle

Anyone do any builds using standard AK furniture? I'm sure the foreend grip would need rebuilding or custom fabricating, but the rear trunion looks pretty standard issue and like it should fit standard laminated stocks.
Those are some handsome furniture sets however!

Well I did something a little different with my Saiga 12. I own a .308 VEPR which came with two stocks. The first was the wood thumbhole stock and fore grip and the second was a skeleton pistol grip stock. So, shake them up in a bag and this is what I got:
VEPR; black skeleton pistol grip stock and ventilated Saiga fore grip. Very evil looking.
Saiga 12: VEPR walnut thumbhole stock and fore grip. This required some modification including the FCG conversion using a Tromix trigger guard and Tapco parts. Also, enough other parts to make it 922 compliant. I also had to cut the rear of the receiver at a 45* angle to fit the stock. This is now a beautiful 'sporterized' looking gun. Not 'tacticool', but very cool anyway. The thumbhole stock shoulders very nicely and I am taking it dove hunting in the morning...
See my other post on how I modified the stock 5 round magazine to be legal for doves (only two rounds in the mag).
