Yeah, I got one a few a months ago when it wasn't sale. I wish I had waited.

KVAR has a whole bunch of interesting stuff on sale this weekend, including the 45 round Bulgarian AK-74 mags for $35, KVAR NATO length stock sets for $59, AK-74 bulgarian bakelite bayonets for $15, etc. The server appears to be buried, so you may have to retry several times. I got a lot in the way of spare parts (east german bolt repair kits, etc) I had figured on getting eventually, but the price this weekend eclipses their prior pricing on a lot of stuff I was interested in. I jumped on one as well. Also got a scope mount, mags, shiny plum pistol grips, mag pouchs...

After looking over the East German mag pouch I realized I already had (it came with four e german bakelite mags I bought a while back), I ordered 10 more of them. The one I have seems nice, with separated compartments for each mag, so I figured I may well use them for storing all my ak-74 mags (and some to grow on). Seemed quite a deal, 10 for $30. After mulling it over all day, I finally broke down and got one of the 45 rounders for $35 too.

I just ordered a 45 round and a bayonet this morning. The server had way too many people on it last night.

I noticed that the black Bulgarian, what look to be gen 3, bayonets seem to be out of stock now. I broke down and ordered two more of the $15 Bulgarian bakelite AK-74 bayonets this morning though... I suspect they'll match up well to Tantals... Only a few hours left (it was less than 10 when I was on the site a few hours ago) in the sale and stock on some things seems to be running out. I bet the local UPS/FedEx/whomever they use depot is gonna be swamped when they start processing all the orders.

It told me "out of stock" when I tried to add it to the cart. I'd guess at probably 9-10AM Central time (hard to recall exactly, since I had other stuff going and the server was loaded and kept dropping me, so I had to keep retrying). The order confirmation stamp for the two bakelite bayonets is:

BTW, when I just went back to check, when I clicked "Limited Time Offers and Sales" I got "There are no available products under this category." My direct link to the 45 rounder works, but now shows $49.99 as the price. I guess the sale may be over now.... I predict there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth by those that snoozed...and losed. :evil:

As usual, they're high (by many definitions).

$75 for a used by who knows what kind of soldiers and in unknown conditions. Aside from the fact the bakelite ain't known for aging gracefully (these are all 30+ years old)

$79 for a nice new milspec Bulgarian would be my choice for a "use mag".

The collectors can add all those ancient bakelites to their collections.

nope they are not russian. not the one that i got. it was bulgarian. Those bastards wouldnt take it back either.. i was pissed. I even asked about the arsenal makings before i bought one.

Shipping is also insanely expensive, that 75 dollar magazine was like $90 after shipping.

i would stay away from R-guns on that one.

I got my K-var new Bulgarian 45 rounder the other day (new in the plastic). It was a great deal for $35 for a new magazine during the sale, and I shall now gloat about it. :sidegrin_

Do check your order thoroughly. They had a lot of chaos due to the volume for the sale they're attempting to ship out as quickly as they can. I've gotten maybe half the stuff I ordered during the sale so far, and they shipped the wrong stock set (standard Warsaw length, black stock set, rather than the NATO one I ordered -- the shipping list shows the right part, but the sharpie on the package show it to be the part # for the Warsaw stock set -- also, comparison to other Warsaw length stocks reaffirmed that). They're supposed to send me the correct NATO length butt stock (it's the only thing different in the set) and a return label, so I can send the incorrect butt stock back. I have not received any of the bayonets I ordered as yet.

(9/11 Update: UPS disgorged a great belch of packages Friday, 9/11, including the awaited bayonets. The only thing I am still awaiting from the sale orders is the replacement NATO length butt stock -- I may need to call them and remind them).

My order arrived on monday.. everything looks good. I got an AK-100 style side folder, which is a really neat and high quality piece..

I also got my 45rd mag.. its a sweet piece as well. I still prefer the old school bakelites, they feel so much more rock solid.

Got an arsenal FCG awaiting installation in my old school AKS-74N build.

Looks like K-var is doing more or less the same sale (with lower stock/more stuff out of stock now) again right now. The 45 round Bulgarian AK-74 mag for $35 is there at the moment, as is the Bulgarian Bakelite Type 2 bayonet for $15. The East German pouches I think are an especially good deal for $2.99 each. All the ones I've received seem to be new from long term storage somewhere, and I've already used up a lot of those from my original order, so I may order some more.

Not that I have seen, and everyone on Gunbroker knows the price has gone back up. Your best chance is to wait it out for another K-VAR sale.
