View Thread: Bipod

Since the PSL is not a free floated barrel set up because of the obvious gas and forarm setup, I chose to utilize my PKM bipod (left over after fixing my AES10B). It was almost a perfect fit, I used a dremmel with a fine sanding disc and honed the inner part of the clamp to remove any burrs. I then drilled the retainer pin pin hole to 11/64ths and oiled the white metal. I installed it on the barrel between the handguard and the gas block in reverse order simular to the AES10 rifles. I have yet to see the groupings, I also believe that since the barrel area where I mounted it is several inches of possibe for aft movement (it fits tight) that I might possibly fab a hand set screw set-up to keep it in place once a zero is tightened. By moving the pod forward or rearward should alter the harmonics on the barrel during the firing event. Not perfect but should be in line with the ability of this rifle, I believe this will be a better than the harris setups everyone is doing as it wont matter if the pod mounts to the barrel or the wood or the receiver front because.... it is NOT free afloated design and all these parts are alredy contacting the barrel .... What do you all think? I have yet to field it but I believe I am on the right track.
