View Thread: what do you guys think of the chinese mags?
merdenoms
the mags with no rib... just rounded off on the back?
I really like these mags

I really like them too.

+1 on 7.62x39 30rd.
I get em as long as they are affordable (around $12.00).
So far on all I have gotten/found, they are very well made and finish.
No feeding problems.
Easy on the hands (no rib).
Also easy to modify for the BHO feature.

Just OK I like ribs
merdenoms
is the finish on them generally smoother than other magazines as well?

Unpolished blue on Chinese mags, some Euro mags are the same and some are parkerized or painted.

Just for clarification, what does BHO stand for?

BHO = Bolt hold open

I love mine, the blueing matches my Doublefolder!
Never had a problem with any!

I prefer them. That stupid rib down the back of most mags irritates the hell out of my hand when doing mag changes.

Thats all I use! Saves my hands!

I prefer them aswell. A few of my buddy's dont care either way so I trade them when they get chinese. Both my 7.62's are chinese, and both are quality weapons so I figure the mags are aswell.
Just picked up 7 chinese, two europeaon and one sino-soviet for 90 something shipped. Then traded two unmarked chinese for two chrome follower mags, then 30 minute's later traded the two chrome follower mags plus 50 bucks for a russian makarov with slight pitting on the slide(shot like a champ of course). So for basically 68 bucks I walked away with a mak.
Never had an issue with any military made magazine, but like the chinese better.

I preferr th Chinese ones. The Chinese fit on my Romanian underfolder, but the ribbed ones don't fit on the Norinco. I've had to pay $20.00 ea., as they are fairly rare, and I wanted a half dozen.

Favorite metal mag. Prior to the Bulgy waffle was my favorite mag overall.
