View Thread: Shot of a Lifetime

I just got back from shooting my new Colt LE Carbine and had to take a picture of this. I probably couldn't do this again to save my life.

I think I'm going to get it framed. Here are the details:

Distance lasered to target: 167 yards

Zeroed rifle at 15 meters, re-checked windage at 50 yards, practicing adjusting point of aim with this zero setting.

Fired approimately 40 rds through the gun and let it cool off for about 1 1/2 hours and tried a cold bore shot at a random distance.

Fired one shot, at a random distance that lasered 167 yards

Shot was fired using iron sights on a carbine-length gas system (using small peep sight). I was shooting from a bench of course.

And best of all, I have a witness, and he is a preacher to top that!!! I should have played the lottery today!

Nice shootin!!

Nice shootin!!

I think it was more luck than skill. I have a broken mechanical watch in my dresser drawer, and it's right on the money twice everyday.

As a wize man once said to me, "I'd rather be lucky than good". The trick is to walk away looking like you meant it..... Never blow yourself in!

What?
Did you put 2 shots through that hole?

Just kidding, nice shot!

If I could put two rounds in the same hole under those conditions consistently, I would be quitting my day job, getting sponsorship and shooting competitively the rest of my life.

A regular Alvin York! Nice shootin'!

Sell that rifle and don't ever shoot another gun ever again. You've now mastered riflemanship.

I know, there's always room for improvement. Couldn't do it again if my life depended on it.

They always told us back in the day "if you miss it ain`t the rifles fault" Good shot
