Thanks guy's! I'm going to go check it out in the morning when I get off work. I called him back and asked if it had matching serial #'s and a clean bore, He said it did. He's asking $130.00 so if it looks good I'm going to grab it. That will make a total of 7 Mosin's I have bought in the past 2 years. I think I am developing an illness of some sort!:laugh_sma

have you got room to hang it in your customized bunker?
good luck..hope you snag it
mosinutty
Ha...Ha...No Swabbie the bunker has reached critical mass! I need a block building with a damned vault door or something.:D

time to go far underground haha

I'd buy it for $130 for sure. I bought three of them for $210 about four years ago, then GAVE ONE AWAY to my brother who thinks having a bayonet is cool, and I've regretted it ever since. Starting about two years ago they disappeared from the 1st-tier market.

Having a bayonette is cool, if it's a bolt gun, plus
jabbing your prisoners occasionally makes the day go
better.

Nice rifle, Bore was dirty but it cleaned up nice and shiny! All matching.

How many patches did you have to run down the barrel in order to get it shiny?
Firefly
Looks really good!
mosinutty
Only about 10 patches with some Ed's red. I'm glad I got to her when I did, Because some one had shot it and left it dirty. And I'm sure they used corrosive ammo. Some People just don't realize what kind of history they have in their hands!
I'm real happy with it. The stock has a couple of small blims, But that adds some character to the old girl. I told the guy to keep his eye's out for any mil-surp rifles and give me a call. He's not a collector, he gets his thrill from trading.

Any excess Mosins or nice SKS's you don't have room for, you just let me know....I'll hold em for ya :small_gri

Thanks friend! I may have to take you up on that. I may have to find a place for myself and the gun's. My girlfriend and daughter told me I really need some professional help. I told my daughter we could go to the therapist together and maybe she could get some help for her texting problem! Every one has their thing....Mine is mil-surps!:laugh_sma
Black_Wolf
Nice, Mosin!
Good score.

Thanks guys! I haven't had a chance to break down and clean the bolt yet, Or brush out the chamber. It cycles really smooth compared to some of my other mosin's so it won't take much more cleaning. Now that I'm off work for a couple of days maybe I can make it to the range and fire a few rounds through the old girl. So far the most accurate mosin I have other than my sniper is an Izzy M-38. I also have a Hungarian I haven't shot yet so we will see if they can out shoot the M-38.:smile_sma

Made it to the range finally. I took the Romy M-44 and a couple of SKS's. The Romy cycled real well, No sticky bolt, and held a nice group at 50 yards. I didn't notice on first inspection of the rifle, But while shooting I found that someone had adjusted the front sight with a steel punch. Just a couple of little dings, not real noticeable. Wish the previous owner had heard of a brass punch! Moved the target on out to 100 yards and had about the same grouping. I'm happy with it but it didn't produce the groupings of the Izy M-38. I did not think about extending the bayo, It was so friggin hot outside that my bolt handle was hot to the touch after resting in the sun for awhile! I'm ready for some fall shooting!
swabbie
I'm waitin for Fall as well..you just THINK it's hot where you are
Did get a lil good news..my boat repairman cousin in MD salvaged 300 lbs of lead from a sailboat keel for me
Now i jus gotta guilt my brother in VA to pick up the lead and pack it in 5 flat rate boxes
My postal lady's gonna hate me :rofl_smal :rofl_smal
