Its sort of like the old Beatles song. Its getting better everyday. Seems that each day there is a small crack in the market. Mags here, ammo at Walmart. Its just going to take a little time.

Heck the Century mailer for the month came out and for the first time in months they had stuff you might want. Prices are still up a bit but?

I found 50 rnd. boxes of Federal 9mm at WalMart for $8.95. That equates to $0.18 a rnd. Given what it was selling for a while back, that is a dramatic price decrease.

I have not seen the same decrease in 7.62 x 39, but believe it is in the "near" future. When I see it at $175/1000, I will buy one case. If it drops to $150/1000, I will buy two more cases. If it goes down to $130/1000 or less, I will be rearranging things to make room... ;)

Copes has 7.62x59 for $249 per 1000, and their shipping rate is the BOMB! They also have Tabuk barrels and Romanian RPK barrels to replace them ole shot-out Yugoslavian AK and Romanian RPK barrels we got three years ago.

what has to be done to use the tabuk barrel in an m70? just shorten it? does it need to be turned down anywhere or is everything the right size except for the length?
how is copes shipping compared to j&gsales? j&g has the cheapest x39 right now that im aware of, GT for $230
