Picked one up in very good condition for 495,
Shot one on Weds and had to have one... Did some homewor and decded to get it. Lite, got a Millett red dot scope w/ it too, ventilated front end, cheap FH. The charging handle is also a brass deflector.... Looks good:) and fun...
Does anyone know the thread type on the KELTEC... Going to replace the cheap one asap....
This thing has a LOT of potential... Going to go TACTICAL TIMMY on it.... I'm a GI JOE kinda guy, but after the ICS course, I found a nitch fr this gun and I always wanted one.........
Any comments?

i understand its a fun plinker. but im not sure i truly understand the desire for these types of weapons. they arent very cheap, and they really dont have a purpose other than plinking that i can see. All you can really put on it is a scope/dot and a grip right or do they sell stocks and such?

It would be illegal to have a stock on it because it would be a SBR. Its good for plinking, but it could serve a good purpose for a home defense gun because of its compactness.

The addition of a laser sight makes accurate "hip shooting" possible, especially indoors where the reduced light makes the dot show up brighter. The small size makes it much easier to maneuver in close spaces than a carbine or rifle. For longer range shots a loop type sling added to the rear allows you to wrap it around your shoulder and pull forward on the gun to make a 3-point supported mount, making it almost as steady as with a stock. Most of the advantages of an SBR without the tax and paperwork.

johnwayne,
The weapon is indeed a "pistol", but a VERY stable one because you can get both hands on it comfortably enuf w/ a modified grip to aim well... I had my doubts until I expereimented w/ it myself... Recoil mild and ez to keep sites on tgt... Again, I was shocked.... Add the 30 rds of 223 and you're screwed if you get on the business end of this thing at close and medium distance conditions....
I was very pleased and realized(especially after I recently took a very good ICS course) it had a nitch as a compact, viciously powerful, practical, weapon(even in a pistol config). It's potential is vast as a Class III weapon too... I've been wanting to make that leap(SBR and silencer) for a while. This weapon would be perfect for this... It would be a REAL meat grinder for any bad guy as a pistol and even more so w/ a Class III permit for stock and can.... The Krink pistols are similar.. But, this weapon is very lite and manageable(even though the 2 usually do not co exist at the same time)... And KELTEC is an excellent company to deal w/... Life time warranty... I am the 2nd owner and they treated me like the first... This company "gets it..."(shame car US companies didn't, mite still be in business...)
