View Thread: Three cell/six mag chest pouch

I recently got back a Chicom 3 cell chest pouch I had bought in the 80's. It is the typical 3 cell pouch, however each cell has a full length divider sewn in and holds 2 mags thus a total of 6. Are these rare, as most I have seem only hold 3 mags. Thanx

The 6 mag pouches aren't exactly common but they do show up on GB and at shows sometimes. The 3 mag ones were imported by the metric ton IIRC and are far easier to find. I have about 4 of the 6 mag pouches compared to around 10-15 of the 3 mag ones.
Some companies were importing 3 mag chest rigs not too long ago but the material was not as heavy a grade of canvas as the originals and felt kind of cheap. YMMV.

56type, thank you for replying to my question. I have been wondering about this for a while since my bud who I sold a double underfolder to 15 years ago gave me the pouch back recently. In the past I have owned at least a dozen aks and akms, including 6 Legends. Now I am down to one NIB unfired 56s-1, and it makes me crazy not to fire it.
