fellow subjects of the prk. you probably have already heard this but if not, immediate action required. ab962 (see link) passed the assy. last week by one vote. you need to write/call/fax/e-mail your state senator asap to voice your opposition.

passed public safety on 7/7. to appropriations. it must die!!!

in the senate public safety comittee. will probably make it out. comittee is heavy on libtard. has to be out by 7/10. we may get lucky with the budget nightmare but i doubt it. keep pressure on your state senators.

on comittee agenda for 6/30. mh the bookie calls it 5/2 for passage.

rescheduled. probably due to the budget. go figure. if it doesn't get out by 7/10 it dies. the magic 8 ball sez it'll pass at the last minute. beat your senators to death on this one kids. it's mega-evil.

looks like the current budget c/f could help this die. it has to clear 2 comittees by 7/10, public safety and appropriations. unless they have some double secret emergency session it could be dead for another year.
according to assy. rules de leon can't reintroduce it until the session after next. rumor has it he will break the rules and try again. hopefully it'll bite him in the ass!

still no news on NORDYKE. legal consensus is that means it stood and the delay is for all the whiners to write their dissenting opinions.

suspended. they could take it up again after they return from the summer recess on 8/17. this is what i suspect as de leon made no argument for. uncharacteristic of him since he presents this yearly. he argued the other bill he had on the agenda. something stinks! city of sacramento and county of alameda spoke for, nra, goa and crpa spoke against. this MUST clear comittee by 8/28 or die. also, by the assembly rules, de leon must wait until the session after this next to reintroduce, he has threatened to violate this rule and immediately reintroduce it if it doesn't pass. there is talk of censure should this happen.

They tend to wait and let the steam of opposition reduce and quickily sneak the bill out before any one can react. We will have to watch for dirty tricks - from our CA non-representatives.

I smell a set up. If he acts differently {no argument}, he going to try something sneakky.
