How can I find and delete old pics? want to free up space/replace pics.

Hi Mod Gods- I was searching for my old posts and threads and deleted some BUT i do not know if the pics were deleted,stupid me forgot to remove them first THEN delete the old ads....
I am at 995,000k, just under 1 meg and would like to delete,remove old pics so I can post others in an ad...can i get some assistance please on this? Is there a way to search for pics posted by user?

Open an account with Photobucket.Store your pics there.Copy and paste the IMG code in this box and hit submit reply and they will show up.If you delete from Photobucket it will delete them here as well,td

PS when using photobucket pics do not take up space on your computer and if I am correct do not affect bandwidth here,td

AFAIK the pictures are deleted when the post is.

Are you using a host or uploading direct from your PC?

i think what he's getting at is deleting just the pix leaving the post/thread intact. my load is up there too before i got photobucket. maybe go back and edit to remove pic. it would be a cool feature to be able to go through JUST ATTACHMENTS and remove those no longer topical. would save the site bandwidth too.

revisiting this problem..I tried again to delete apparently attached pics and am still unable to find away to get at them to clear them out ....any new way to help get at that part of the system or can you mods please get rid of them for me?

We cannot do it any easier than you can. Unless of course we just delete YOU. (kidding)

If you have them hosted, just edit the post and delete the image link.

I will have to look at see how you go about it for an attached file. I will log in with a ghost account and see.

Okay. Here's what you do.

Go to the post with the attached image. (yes you have to do EACH ONE)

Push the "Edit" button.

Look to the bottom and you will see the things in the image below. First do # 1, then do # 2 (no, I do not mean go piss and then shit. :rofl_smal

two bit, i can't go back far enough to get to before i started using photobucket. it only gives me 20 pages. do i have to do random searches until i find my old attachments? don't expect memory, i'm old.

If that is the case, (only 20 pages back) then apparently they have been purged. I will look at your post list and see what it will show me. Likely the same thing you see.

Some things are the same for me as anyone else as far as thread viewing abilities.

ETA- That is all I get. 20 pages / 500 posts back.

ok, i did gen search under my handle. took me back farthger. each thread has a little paperclip icon for attachment next to title, doen't mean it's yours, just an attachment. found one and deleted. further searches will undoubtedly yeild more. just have to remember what to search.
mods, this isn't complicated enough. surely it can be made more difficult.
