AK Hunter parts.

I am looking for a place I can buy parts for my Hunter. The mag. release on the Hunter is different than a true AK. And My mag. release pin and spring are gone.

Go to the above link and look at the SKS extended magazine catch, it maybe a place/part to start as to replace the missing parts.

I am guessing the Hunter is a type II with the flip up rear sights.

Also you maybe able to get a SKS original mag catch part and have it made to fit by filling or welding metal to it so to custom fit it.

I figure that the pin that holds the assembly together is the weak link here, chances are it will fall apart again unless the pin is made a tad bigger.

This is a great rifle to turn in to a gallil or Valmet copy BTW.

I had a type III Hunter with the regular AK mag catch, it had a great trigger (best I had ever tested) yet it slapped my finger, this was easy to fix by grinding the back of the disconnector for clearance.
