Let us fantasize here for a moment.... Let us say that the Repubs in Congress grow a set and block the renewal of the 1994 Klinton Krime Bill 'assault weapon' ban (I know - fat chance! - but just play along, okay?). So the ban is gone, and everything that was available before is again. AKs of every description, Galils, Valmets, real Russian Druganov SVDs, Steyr AUGs, H&K G36s, Daewoos, surplus FAL paras, and all the semiauto pistol-caliber subgun clones like the Uzi, HK SP5, Mac 10 & 11; even domestic-made stuff with all the 'evil features', bayonet lugs, flash hiders, folding stocks; everything. So if you had some spare change to spend on hardware, what would you buy?

I'd want a SIG 550 (if the price ain't too outrageous), a FAMAS and the G36. I pretty much have everything else. Oh yes, and the Atchisson assault shotgun made by Daewoo. The one that looks like M16 on steroid.

Your missing the point here....There is also an importation ban and even if the 94 AW ban does not get renewal, we will still not be seeing any of these weapons unless they are made here in the US...
