I'm very interested in purchasing a SAIGA from my local gunshop and sending it to them to do all that they offer in their custom rifle package for the ak-103k styling but without that skeleton stock..

anyone have anything to say about them ?

Do it. My wife's uncle has one of his AK 104's. It is Wicked. I did my own 103 with help, but Chris is the man.

Nothing but praise for Chris and his work. Best AK smith out there in my opinion. He built these two for me....top is a Saiga, bottom is a SAR-1.

Mine's also an AKUSA build. I plan on sending a SAR3 to him to work so I can have a .223 AK just like it for a little more flexibility. I like the AK102/104 styles...

Those are pretty guns, but what do they cost? I did a Saiga myself. I didn't try to make it "look" like anything in particular, just put a PG and stock on it and modded the trunion to take AK mags. It ended up looking very much like the one on Joeken's site, but w/o the muzzle brake. It's light and handy, and I like the long forearm--I've burned my fingers on the forearm retainer too many times.

If the 1994 Crime Act sunsets next year, I want to put a Romanian side-folder on it. The only thing you have to do is pull the buttstock screws and put in machine screws that fit the Romanian threads and are short enough to allow the parts to work.

Do it, you won't be sorry. Chris is a top notch AK smith with a eye for detail. I have a Saiga and two SAR's he did for me. Waiting on a Krink with fake can built on a 7.62 Saiga receiver.
