View Thread: Colt Python Price Check

Goodoleboy
I've got a Colt Python that was passed down to me from my Grandfather and Father. I checked the serial number and it falls in the 1968 timeframe. It has about 90% (Blue) finish on it, it has a 4" barrel, the grips are well worn, but the internals are absolutely pristine. I've been a Smith & Wesson fan most of my life, but I love this pistol. I never plan on selling it for sentimental reasons, I was just curious what one in the condition of mine would go for. Any ideas?

I would say around $1000. At least that is what a nice vintage one would go for around my neck of the woods. Colts do command a premium.

they range from high to astronomical. in ca a blue python is the holy grail of handguns. if it was 6" you could retire.
