ATF form 1

Hey guys, how long does it usually take to get the form 1 papers and fingerprint cards etc. from the ATF? I ordered all the SBR paperwork plus a duplicate about 4 weeks ago and havent seen it.

AFAIK, they dont offer the SBR paperwork over the internet anymore right? I need to get movin on my project.

Under one month for me and I ordered like 4 copies. They seem to be back logged with everything.

thats what i did. now with that said i sent my stuff in on jan 15. my check was cashed within a week. as of last week i am still not in there system. my form 1 is an sbr(krink) with a corp manufacturer who has 8 other nfa items. i am hoping they are just that backlogged and its not becasue i copied form 1 off of the interwebz. i miss the 2 month turn around days. i have no idea how you guys did the 9-12 month wait.

well i was looking at that particular form 1, and it is an older form from 2004.

Ive seen a pdf of a newer form that is from 2007. I'll see if i can find it.. I assume i would need to have the most up-to-date form 1.

no i used the new one as i had it saved from another sbr i did last year. i will go troll on ar15 in the nfa section.

did you print the forms double sided? From the forum post you linked it says they need to be double sided. I already got my forms all filled in and I accedentally didnt do that, and tbh, i dont have a clue how.

how outlandish would it be to post a classified ad here for some ATF fingerprint cards? :D

yeah i always double side. the way i remember is you have to carry a copy of the stamp and paper work whenever you take the gun somewhere to play with. and i mean alsways. well i take the sheet when it comes back from the ATF with the stamp on it to kinkos and get then reduced to 1/3 size in color then laminate and make 3 copies each . i keep one set in the gun safe, another set in with the guncases(transporting to shoot) i only use for nfa stuff and another set at the office. then the originals in a fire safe. way way over done but better safe than sorry.

what i alwasy heard was to use the form where your siggy and the aft officers siggy are on the front page and your cleo sign off and 10 or so questions you answer are on the back. that way all the important info is onthe front.

all my stuff is via a texas corp so i dont know on finger print cards or leo sign offs. sorry on that.

also dont forget the 2 citizenship forms. thats the one i alwasy have to double check my envelope well that and the check. lol lol lol lol

ATF got my Form 1 on 2nd of Feb, they opened it on April 8 and it is still pending as of April 28th.

I got an envelope from the ATF distrubution center on tuesday with a receipt stating the form 1's were back ordered.

I printed the form 1 from lemansters links weeks ago and have been chasing down my cleo ever since.


who did your trust?

I did the trust myself, I used Quicken Will maker. Was pretty easy.

The waiting is crazy, I keep hoping to get a denied or accepted paper in the mail..... never there....

Just for FYI: Sent paperwork in March 27th. Check cashed Apr 1st. Recieved Tax Stamp today :rofl_smal May 26th. Applied for as a Trust with Quicken Willmaker. Neat looking stamp doesn't look like it's been changed since the 30's. All forms sent were downloaded and printed on a cheap ink jet printer.

got my form 1 back with stamp june 18 2009..

didnt think it would ever get here. ha

I got the form as a template and filled in the blanks' and printed it. I got the 'print cards from the feds uptown, and the cops did 'em and the Chief signed the app. $200 American to the Treasury and I had the stamp in about 30 days. Simple. I have a hotrod M-92 that is a flamethrower. And noisey.

Well, I just got all of the forms i ordered from the ATF's website. only took what?? half a year.

Make Sure You Print the backs in the same sheet *Reverse Side for your 2 copies of The Form 1. Also Certificate Of Compliance which you can print out there also. You are the one Certifing This Form. Stupid I Know but don't forget this form.
