View Thread: ANY OPINIONS ON SYNTHETIC FOLLOWERS IN AK MAGS?

I never used an AK mag with a "synthetic" follower. Any opinions on them? Do they work as well as metal and are they durable? Are they worth buying if the rest of the mag is steel?

they seem to not feel as smooth as metal followers, but I never had any probs with them. A friend of mine swears up and down they are better, but I ordered 6 Bulgarian mags a while back and they had the synthetic followers and I had no problems.

They work fine for me too. Thought it was kinda wierd at first but no different the when i would put tapco followers in.

Since I posted the question I have been to the range to test out 4 new steel Bulgarian mags with synthetic followers that I bought from Copes. I didn't notice any difference. They worked great.

Thanks for the input, guys!
