looking for good scope mount

Hey guys, quick question. I want to get a scope for my mosin, and already have a pretty decent one in mind. Thing is, I bought the $15 one that you use by replacing the rear sight, but it's crooked as a dang dog's leg. It's an ex sniper, so I won't feel too bad about drilling, but I'd rather not, you know? What kind of options do I have? The closer to original the better. I was thinking of replacing the stock, in order to preserve it better, and thought about this kit http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=119809 Any thoughts?

I've seen some good reviews for that stock, and I personally plan on getting one sometime for my M38. I don't think many people like that particular mount though, or perhaps it was just the screw-in bolt handle that wasn't good.
