Did Norinco ever have a SKS with a 20rd drop down mag?

There are Chinese made aftermarket mags that were imported unto the US in the 1980's. Not a military irem. Also 5 round Chinese mags for the US hunting market are available.

Are you talking about detachable mags (drop down)?

The internal one you have pictured is somewhat of a desirable 20 rounder - about two to three times more than the detachables.

The 20 rounders are fairly common. Run in the $50-$60 range. Some have a star on the side and some do not. Fit and feed are fairly reliable though some folks report problems. They fit and lock-up just like the original 10 round fixed box mag.

I mounted one on my Chinese SKS with little modification and have seen them mounted on Combloc versions...with tweaking
