View Thread: 308 VEPR Case Damage

MrEracer
Okay, I took my newly aquired .308 VEPR to the range today. Awesome weapon but I was distressed to see that every case is damaged with a big crease in the cartridge after firing. After some inspection at home I find that the case is being ejected directly into an edge on the dust cover causing the crease and making it unusable for reloading... I then tried a fix in the form of a small piece of plastic tubing sliced down the side and installed on the dust cover where the cases are hitting. I then refired the weapon.. The case damage is greatly reduced but I'm still finding a dent in the cases...

So the question is, how do I eliminate this case damage? I know I'm not the first person to have this problem.
Thanks

Change The Angle Of The Ejector And The Cases Will Follow The Change. Infact You Could With Proper Tuning Have All The Cases Land In A 20 Inch Square. All being equal as far as ammo is concerned ie. The Same Lot No.
