Problem posting pics

Hi, I had a question and needed to post a pic, I went through the manage attachments deal like most sites have but when I hit the "add this file" button it told me I did not have permission to do it??? I looked to see if I needed a certian number of posts to use this feature but didn't see anything like that. I am new here and just wanted to post a pic of an oddity and see if anyone could tell me the country of origin. Thanks if you can give me some pointers, Cheapskate

I'm new here, but on other forums I'm a member of, you have to link the photo to a hosting site ..such as Photobucket.com.
1) upload the photo on the hosting site
2) copy the photo's address
3)Paste that address in the message and highlight it
4) click the tiny pic ( insert image) at top of the message header
Done.
I'm not not sure about the manage attachments

OK, I used to have to do that on 1919a4.com years ago but I thought these days most sites let you upload directly off the computer? I will see if I still got an account, thanks!

I just set up a Photobucket account, it gave me the code for message boards for the pics I wanted to post, I have copied and pasted, hand typed it in, everything I can thin of and it will not work, someone please help me. Thanks, Cheapskae

the trick to posting photos here is a little tricky but you can do it. post your thread and immediately click edit on it. then scroll down and click on manage attachments. click on browse and select your photo. click on add file and repeat for a maximum of 5 photos then click on all done. last but not least, scroll down and click on save changes. there, you did it!

When you copy a code at photobucket are you copying the IMG code?

When you hover your cursor over the pics in yer account you should get a drop down of codes.

The last code is the IMG code. Highlight it, right click and left click copy when it pops up.

Go back to the AKfiles and cut and paste in the thread you want.

Thats it.

I don't seem to have any problem as long as the file is under the size limit. I've gotten the error message you mentioned when I tried to attach a file that was too large. It should give you a pop-up telling you what the max file size is. I don't use photobucket, I just attach it directly.

i reccomend dropshots. For some reason I had a problem with photobucket, but dropshots works great for me.
set up an account, upload pics, double click on the pic u wanna post, click blog, copy and paste the IMG code.
