Does anyone have 40 round Bakelite RPK magazines for use in the 7.62X39mm RPK? I have seen photos of them being used by Russian soldiers but I haven't seen any for sale here in the US.

I sold several a 4-5 months ago and still have a several more, but not quite ready to sell those. Like bigmegina said...they are rare and can command big money. Are you looking just for photos or for ones to purchase?

I have seen a couple photos but wondered how common they are even in Russia because most RPK pics I see have 40 round steel magazines and few drums in russian service but the bakellite 30 round magazine is so ubiqitous that I assumed the 40's have to have been made in qauntity....did MOLOT make them? Like the 45 round 74 magazines?

Quite a few on Gunbroker right now, and the prices are commin down.Just search bakelite.Some under $300.

i just bought 1 today on the ak form.unissued with ink stamps for $145 shipped.they used to be $500.i knew the price would come down.guy claims no more ever.he is in finland.
