new here and my norinco sks

so i bought s norinco sks for 300 bucks it was in great shape with a 20 round internal mag i cant find any dating on it at all and it is slam firing but the place i bought is fixing it for free here's a few pics of it the day i bought it and a few the day after the pick with the 2 on top is my dads 1950 matching numbers russian sks he got for 140 and my norinco bottom

Great pics. Welcome to the Files. Are the slamfires due to a stuck firing pin?

Thank you and I'm not sure the pin moved freely and didn't look bent and was far from dirty because I had it so clean u can see yourself in the bolt I drop my rifle off yesterday to get fixed I only bought it like a week ago so it's getting fixed for free it's the second rifle I bought I just turned 18 but I know the SKS inside and out I also own a matching number 1940 British 303. Enfield which is also an amazing rifle my SKS when it didn't bump fire shot amazing hitting bowling pins from 200 yards.

there is a mod you can do(or have done) to your bolt if the problem persists..

my first SKS had one of those 50 rounders :rofl_smal ..not too practical,but hey..ur 18....practical isn't even in ur vocabulary

I have one of those Chinese 20 rounders on my Norinco..works great

yeah i like the 20 rounder but its a bitch to load with no stripper clips and the 50 rounder i had laying around from my dad sks so i put that on im not a real fan of internals the weapon looks much better with a detach

yes but be careful those detachable mags have the tendency to separate at the mag catch i had the same problem with my first and last "detachable mag", i can load faster with strippers clips any ways

never had a problem with it and its been on my dad sks since he bought it about 20 years back still works fine and never jamed do to the mag it a very good 50 round mag and is also kept well oiled just keep everything clean and you never have to worry about problems
