View Thread: beryl style scope mounts

likestoshootstuff
I came across some beryl style scope mounts on a wesite but now can not find it for the life of me. It is not the ones that DPH has on their website. It was not a quick detach one it used the single screw in the bak and two set scews on the RSB. I know it's not the DPH ones because the site I saw it on had two different models. One for a standard ak and one for saiga shotguns with a round RSB. Does anybody know where to find these??

Maybe the Surefire rail.

dph now has 2 versions also. the original cheaper one and the improved expensive one.

Polak Redneck
I have the more expensive of the two DPH's. It's still $100 less than the Krebs. If you remove your optical sight but keep the rail on you can still use your original irons. Like the Krebs, it's got a quick release attachment at the rear so it flips up for cleaning.

With the Krebs you have to remove the original rear irons. You get an AR style rear at the back of the rail. If I'm going to use irons I prefer original AK style as I have middle aged eyes and a rear peep too close to my eyes fuzzes out.

If you get the quick release DPH be sure to locktite the stock tang screw that holds the quick release plate on the stock tang. Otherwise, after about 50 rounds it will work it self loose and you will wonder why your groups are opening up.

Once I did that I was good to go. I also threw in a Buffer Tech AK buffer just to keep vibration from bolt carrier slamming rear trunnion to a minimum. I like the setup. This is on a Tantal.

with a decent spring the b/c isn't supposed to slam into the rear trunnion in normal operation. this is why the ak has no buffer.
