Mounting other things on the bayonet lug?

Has anyone tried, or thought of, mounting other things (like a flashlight) using the bayonet lug?

if you came up with something like......there would be no doubt that the "gear queers" will be buying that..........as for me:

i wonder what other accessories were designed to be mounted on the bayo lug. ive seen a grenade launcher. what else is there? anybody?

Could be real nice on a cold day :p IIRC some of the British machine gunners with water cooled machine guns would do that in WWI. Run a few belts off, and then make tea. Heheh.

It can also be used in conjunction much more effectively with a torch when cornering that pesky monster in the old windmill!
