View Thread: Is this worth a Colt 6920?

I'm in the process of tradeing my NIB Colt 6920 for this AKS-74U it has 21 rounds thru it. It was built by Magnum Gunsmith in Ohio. The reciever is Nodak. Is this an even trade. I know kits are going for over $900.00 plus a Nodak $100.00 and build $350.00 to $500.00. I believe the 6920 are going for anywhere from $1300.00 up to $1700.00

Magnum Gunsmith does good stuff. I might be willing to trade you a new unbuilt krink with matching nodak receiver plus something extra ....IE.. Mint romi G kit as one example.I have kind of had my eye on a 6920. :cool_smal

You can SBR it when you get it.

If it was a straight swap, I would do it.
But I wouldnt put any money in it and I would rather have the Krink over the Colt any day.
But I formed my opinion in the late 70's while in the Marines and shooting worn and beat M16A1's.
To this day I dont own an AR and wouldnt buy one.
But I do own FAL's and AK's......

I would do it, as a straight across trade, considering the $200 tax stamp. Give him the upper receiver for the AR, you take the bolt & carrier from the Krink. When the transfer is approved conclude the deal.
By the way, those hand guards are nearly impossible to get now, I really want a set :).

FAL GRUNT
Personally, I would think that he is getting the better deal. You can buy a Bulgarian krink kit for $760 from DSA, you won't be able to get a serial matching receiver but a receiver will run you say $100. The build should be $300 or so. Tax stamp $200. Course, it does have a nice set of laminate russian handguards.

If a 6920 is going for $1300, i'd say you have a pretty even trade. If they are going for $1700 then I would say your losing out...
