View Thread: sniper scope issue

bausch
I took my 91 sniper to the range last week and it shot tight groups from my boresighting but I had a problem trying to adjust the scope after adjusting the elevation
I tried the windage but the elevation shifted with it not much but I can't get a zero .Then I noticed the windage also shifted as I moved the elevation so no way can I adjust the scope.
The rifle is a RGuns WW11 sniper with a forced # PU scope year 1967.
Is this normal with a PU or is mine screwed up ?

The Russian scopes do not have self centering reticles. The reticle moves with the turret adjustment. Rough calibration with the elevation screws located on the base on the tangs in front of the thumbscrew must be used prior to the turrets to get rough zero. The windage is rough adjusted by shimmg the base or filing the windage feet at the rear inside of the base depending if the scope is off left or right in rough calibration. Here is a how to for a PU scope.
